City Ideas emerged as an evolution of the profound impact and collaboration fostered by the World Cities Culture Forum.

World Cities Culture Forum (WCCF) is the leading global network of civic leaders from over 40 creative cities across six continents. Our leaders share ideas and solutions to build a world where culture is at the heart of thriving cities. We have established the principle that culture is a golden thread in cities: supporting communities, improving health and well-being, attracting tourists and boosting economies.

Chengdu, a member city since 2017, has exemplified this commitment through a series of impactful collaborations with WCCF. The "World Cities Culture Forum - Tianfu Symposium," a cornerstone initiative co-hosted by Chengdu, unfolded consecutively from 2018 to 2020. In 2021, Chengdu proudly assumed the role of host city for the Global Conference of the World Cities Culture Forum.

A beacon of success, the Tianfu Symposium has played a pivotal role in amplifying culture and catalyzing international cultural exchanges. Its influence resonates in the elevated openness and global prominence of Chengdu's cultural sector.
